As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a graphic designer. I feel that I could be of great use to you and your business. I have skills, talent and knowledge, a positive attitude and an unwavering dedication to the pursuit of excellence.

Education: I attended The Heights High School, where I was part of an accelerated learning group in Arts, English and Social Studies. I designed our Year 12 “Class of 01” school sweat shirt and after High School I attended the Roma Mitchell Arts Education
Center after successfully completing my first year visual arts course. I transferred to the Elizabeth Campus of Regency TAFE to pursue my first love of graphic design. At Elizabeth TAFE I won several Southern Cross Design Awards for my innovative and eye catching packaging designs. From the inception of my course at Elizabeth TAFE I was exposed to hands on experience with commercial clients and was able to meet industry standard deadlines and quality expectations. After completing my Diploma of Graphic Design and Visual Communication I was personally recommended by my head lecturer for the job of Senior Graphic Designer at Savvy House.

Skills: I am adept at the following programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, Quark Xpress, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Fireworks, Adobe Imageready and Macromedia Flash as well as basic office
programs on either Macintosh or PC systems. Over the last 3 years I have been presenting my work to a variety of clients with differing needs and expectations. I am always polite, amiable and easy to talk to. I have respect for all office health and safety regulations. I am punctual and neatly presented. I have a good standard
of physical strength and fitness, have not taken sick leave and have never missed a deadline. I am comfortable working alone or in team environments and will perform any task I am assigned with my best effort. I am quick to learn new skills and concepts
and I am able to adapt quickly and appropriately in a dynamic working environment.

Experience: From day one at Elizabeth TAFE I was working for real clients with commercial needs and expectations. Many of my early clients were local businesses providing experience for my graphic design studies while benefiting from my high quality work, and although the work was often pro bono, many clients were impressed enough to pay. Many of the clients I worked with as a student continue to use my services to this day. I have been in charge of the Graphic Design Department at Savvy House since I commenced work there. I have been in control and have overseen every aspect of the design process while there. From the initial consultation and design right through to colour proofing and pre-press arrangement work. I am also versed in copywriting, typesetting and have demonstrated a paticular affinity for web design.

I have designed a variety of adverts for Solomons Flooring over the years. This required me to work within the corporate guidelines of the Solomons national brand. I had to create adverts with the logos, corporate colours and font that were creative,
visually appealing and individualistic. Solomons have been a satisfied customer of mine since day one.
